The Nasdaq-100 just printed a Follow Through Day after a multi-week correction. We’re opening a position in TQQQ at the close, with a protective stop from day one.
Target holding: TQQQ at 50% of the capital assigned to this strategy. The latest completed monthly volatility assessment calls for reduced exposure in this illustrative example. The reasoning and audit-account fill are in the app.
Illustrative example of a signal email. Not a current recommendation.
After a correction, the strategy looks for a recovery attempt supported by price and volume. A Follow Through Day is one possible entry signal. Recovery attempts can fail.
When the entry rules qualify, the strategy buys TQQQ for leveraged exposure to the Nasdaq-100. A protective stop applies from day one. The rules then govern monthly allocation reviews, trims into weakness, and a trailing exit. If no position remains and entry conditions do not qualify, it waits in cash.
Monthly volatility sizing can reduce exposure while a position remains valid. The dashboard and action emails show the target allocation and assessment month. Lower exposure can soften losses and also miss part of a recovery.
The strategy may hold an existing position or wait in cash between trades. The app shows its current state and the reason for it.

Index Swing — Follow Through Day · 4 Jan 2021 – 1 Oct 2026. A hypothetical $100,000 account using QQQ signals and TQQQ execution, with 0.25% slippage on every fill.
Hypothetical results, not live trading. Win rate counts profitable closed tranches, including partial exits and allocation adjustments, so these are not 59 separate completed positions.
Bar lengths show the size of each return; red denotes a loss. 2026 YTD runs through 1 Oct 2026 and is a partial year.
Updated 2 Oct 2026. This is the adopted October 2026 IEX benchmark, including monthly volatility sizing, late-session selloff protection and pre-close extension profit taking. Signals use historical IEX minute data for QQQ; execution uses historical SIP minute prices for TQQQ, with IEX daily fallback and equity marks. The additional TQQQ selloff observation uses IEX data. Allocation uses a completed monthly assessment of QQQ total-return volatility. Intraday decisions fill at the next executable minute open; completed-close decisions fill at the next session open.
The simulation starts with $100,000 and includes 25 basis points (0.25%) of adverse slippage on each fill. Commissions are excluded. Fixed slippage does not capture changing spreads, market impact or execution capacity. Sparse IEX minutes and daily fallback also limit precision.
Drawdown measures the decline from a peak in daily closing equity to a later trough; intraday losses can be worse. These histories were used to select the rules, so this is not an independent out-of-sample test. The longer SIP study is a separate feed experiment and is not included here.

The model returned +7.57% in 2022. Across the full test, its largest daily-equity drawdown was 25.16%. Monthly sizing, cash and exit rules did not eliminate losses. Recovery attempts can fail, and a profitable full-period result can still involve difficult stretches. Hypothetical backtested performance.

You need an email address and a US brokerage account that supports TQQQ, a liquid, exchange-listed ETF. O-Hyphen requires no special software or minimum account size, and you can keep your money with your broker.
TQQQ is an exchange-traded fund that seeks to deliver three times the daily return of the Nasdaq-100. It magnifies losses as well as gains. Leveraged ETFs can lose value quickly, especially in volatile or sideways markets, and are not suitable for every investor. Read the Risk Disclosure before trading. Risk Disclosure.
Timing depends on the rule: signals can arrive during the trading session, near the close, or after the completed-close evaluation. Email and the app feed show the signal and its timestamp. A signal is not a guarantee that you can trade at the price used in the backtest.
The strategy may be holding a position or waiting in cash until its rules call for another trade. The app shows whether it is watching, waiting, holding, or out of the market, and the daily close note explains why. You'll receive a signal when a rule triggers.
It is the intended total holding as a share of the capital you assign to the strategy. Monthly volatility sizing can reduce that target and leave more in cash. A top-up means adding only enough to reach the stated target. Existing position trims remain in place. The dashboard shows the target and the completed month used for its assessment.
They are hypothetical results from our canonical minute replay: 4 Jan 2021 – 1 Oct 2026, starting with $100,000. The adopted October 2026 version includes monthly volatility sizing, late-session selloff protection and pre-close extension profit taking. The test uses IEX signals, TQQQ execution and 0.25% slippage per fill; commissions are excluded. Win rate counts closed tranches, including partial exits and allocation adjustments. Sizing and early exits can reduce participation in recoveries. These histories were considered during rule selection, so this is not a live or independent out-of-sample record.
